Why travel matters - by Barack Obama
Last month, the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit took place in Seville, Spain. Former US President, Barack Obama, spoke at a Q&A session, and the BBC recorded his responses. These ranged from the importance of travel (especially for young people), to climate change, technology and global politics as they affect travel.
We thought it was a particularly interesting view of travel, and so wanted to share it. As many of us are in the middle of peak season, it is a timely reminder of the importance of what we do. You can read the article here.

ETIAS Visa Waiver Scheme for the Schengen Area
As of 01 January 2021, citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and 56 other countries, will need to have registered for the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) Visa Waiver in order to travel to the 26 countries in the Schengen area of Europe. We provide lots of information for our partners on our resources pages of this website. We have recently added some new toolkits and are working on some more, to be released soon!
Our toolkits offer a way for our partners to get more information on a particular theme - we provide sample itineraries, bonus documents, images and marketing resources where appropriate so that they can create their own marketing and information campaigns.
Do check out this section of our website here - current toolkits include London Theatre, Royal London and Edinburgh, Gardens of Europe and various festivals for performing groups.
