Stories of Ireland
Mar 17, 2025
In honour of St Patrick's Day (17th March), we have prepared a very special Irish sample itinerary.
Ireland is a land where stories are woven into every cobbled street, rolling green hill and crashing Atlantic wave. From the ancient legends of warrior kings and mythical creatures to real-life tales of resilience and adventure, this is a country that thrives on storytelling.
Ireland’s landscapes tell their own tales. In Glendalough, the monastic ruins whisper stories of devotion and solitude, where St Kevin sought refuge among the valley’s two serene lakes. In Cork, stand at the threshold of one of history’s most poignant journeys at the Titanic Experience, where the hopes and dreams of passengers bound for America echo through the exhibits.
The magic of Ireland lies in how its past and present intertwine. In Killarney, the timeless beauty of the surrounding lakes and mountains has inspired generations of poets and musicians. At the Cliffs of Moher, towering over the Atlantic, you can almost hear the whispers of folklore—tales of lost cities beneath the waves and long-forgotten voyages.
Finally, in Dublin, explore the city through its literary heritage, from the historic Trinity College Library to the lively spoken-word traditions in a cosy pub. And, if you're brave enough, embark on a ghost walking tour and listen out for the voices from the past as they echo through Dublin's streets at night...
What stories of your own will you add to this landscape, and which will you take back home with you?
