Live Travel and Tours was founded in 2008 by Kate Roberts and Adele Youngs. Both of us had spent many years travelling throughout Europe - with our families, with groups and with performance ensembles. We had both entered the travel industry in order to encourage and enable others to share what we had experienced. And, when the time came to set up our own company, we wanted to establish one that was based on particular values and that didn't lose sight of those values as it grew.
Our customer service pledge is based around our motto - Dream. Plan. Enrich. It encompasses the journey our clients take, from making a group's travel dream come true though meticulous planning to reaching a point where we are all enriched... We are so confident of our service to our clients that we offer a financial guarantee for our tours. We realise that we are the guardians of our clients' reputations and, if your group is not satisfied with the whole experience of their tour, we will give you USD 2,500 (or equivalent in GBP or EUR) to use in whatever way you want to make the group happy and come back to travel with you again. No quibbles - all we ask for is a written copy of why the group was not satisfied with the tour overall within 7 days of their return. (Full details are available on request).
A few years ago we reviewed our business to see how it is made up. The results were very interesting and led us to develop our "repeat business pledge ©", unique among receptive operators. More than half of our business each year comes from repeat groups. A number of these groups travel every other year to an international destination, but have remained with our clients for the intervening years and these domestic tours bring continued business for them. We therefore committed to developing a system to grow these repeating groups, including offering a discount to our clients for their tours. (Full details are available on request).
