We live in countries that have support and help available on a huge scale for businesses like ours, even if it doesn't always feel like it! At Live Travel and Tours, we strongly believe in doing what we can to "level the field", and in passing on the gift of growth and personal enrichment through business opportunities no matter where someone lives or what their background is. Therefore, we joined Kiva in 2012, a micro-financing organisation. You can see our company lending page by clicking on the image. Through this, we lend money to small businesses around the world to help and support where we can.
Our groups very much enjoy performing at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in south-west London and contributing to the important recreational and cultural programmes there. The RHN is an independent, not-for-profit medical charity, which seeks, through research and the provision of specialist services, to meet the needs of people with complex neurological disabilities resulting from damage to the brain or other parts of the nervous system. Believing that all disabled people should have the opportunity to enjoy an optimal quality of life, the RHN works with other individuals and organisations to improve professional knowledge and skills and to raise public awareness of disability issues. The RHN must raise over £6,000 per day to fund the vital services that improve their residents' quality of life. For more information, please click on the image.
Music in Hospitals (MiH) is a UK-wide charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability through the joy and therapeutic benefits of live music in hospitals, hospices, day care centres, special schools and care homes. Through the charity, a number of our groups have performed for people who would otherwise not have a chance to hear live music. Click on the image to go to their website.
