St Patrick's Day (17th March) is an internationally-celebrated Irish national holiday, with parades taking place in countries all over the world. The best, however, is in Dublin - of course!
The city centre streets are closed to traffic and hundreds of thousands of people line the streets dressed in green waiting for a glimpse of the Parade participants.

The Parade itself is a two-hour display of incredible creative talent as it snakes its way through the city centre. It is televised live in Ireland and streamed online to millions of people worldwide. International and Irish marching bands join performers, dancers and street theatre companies to present a wonderfully entertaining spectacle.
