Walk in the footsteps of royals throughout history

Royal London...
Buckingham Palace (official residence of Her Majesty, The Queen) opens the doors of the State Apartments to visitors every summer. Perhaps the Royal Mews may interest your groups - one of the finest working stables in existence, where they will find royal horses, carriages and motor cars, all providing road transportation for the Royal Family. Step inside Westminster Abbey, a site for every Coronation since 1066 and also for many royal weddings. Venture to the outskirts of London to visit Windsor Castle, a palace and fortress for over 900 years which remains a working palace today. The Tower of London may take their fancy (and not just for the Crown Jewels!), as they hear some of the more unpleasant stories about the royals of centuries past. Once a Royal home, then for some a refuge and for others a prison, it was also where two famous wives of Henry VIII met their demise at the hands of the executioner.
Royal Edinburgh
If they have more time, they can travel further afield and include a visit to Edinburgh, Scotland. The Royal lineage extends there too. Visit Edinburgh Castle, one of the most famous castles in the world with its own Crown Jewels. Did you know groups can visit the Royal Yacht Britannia? Home to the Royal Family for over 40 years and now berthed in Leith, it sailed over one million miles around the world. Some of its famous guests include: Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and Rajiv Ghandi. Complete the royal experience with a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen's official residence in Scotland.
