Performing Tours

As performers ourselves, we find it an honour to arrange European tours for all kinds of performing ensembles. Each performance is arranged with the specific requirements of the group in mind, be it for a formal evening concert, an opportunity to perform in a cathedral of outstanding beauty or the chance to mix with the locals at a local festival. Add to that the usual quality travel arrangements that come with our tours, and our groups go home fulfilled and enriched from their experiences.

Performing tours success

We founded Live Travel and Tours to promote successful performing tours to Europe. Our founders are performers themselves, and we believe that nothing gives as much back to an ensemble as sharing their performances with new audiences in another country.

Our proudest moment so far was being invited to work with the organisers of the London 2012 Olympic Games, as one of only three companies worldwide selected to provide performing groups for the Olympic venues.

Since then, we have founded our own music festival in London, and worked with thousands of performers and ensembles to share the joy of performing far and wide.

Our tours

Venues and audiences

We select the venues for each performing group after an extensive review process in order to make sure we take into account all their technical, musical and budgetary requirements. After all, these ensembles have spent months (if not years) preparing, saving and rehearsing for their tour, and the venues need to be right and the audiences must be enthusiastic. We regularly assist with arranging site inspection visits for music directors and group leaders so that they can check on venues before the tour, and we work hard to ensure there are no last minute surprises on performance day!

Festivals and parades

Festivals are a great way to meet and exchange musical and dance experiences with other similar groups from around the world. As well as running our own music festival, we work closely with over 30 festivals across Europe and can guide and assist with applications and other information. Parades, such as the St Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, or at Disneyland Paris, are an incredible experience for marching bands and dance groups respectively.

Workshops and joint performances

Our range of contacts enables us to organise workshops and other activities, many with very prestigious and experienced musicians and conductors. Joint concerts are extremely popular with groups and an excellent way to enhance the performance experience. We regularly arrange joint performances across Europe and, in many instances, these concerts are in aid of charities in order to give back to the community. For those wanting to share their music with local people, we frequently confirm performances in locations such as schools, hospitals and rest homes.

Group types

We work with all types of performing ensembles, including choirs, orchestras, concert bands, marching bands, dance troupes and drama groups. Our expertise allows us to cater to the unique needs of each ensemble, even when multiple types of performers are travelling together as a single group.

Equipment hire

To avoid the cost of flying with large instruments, we have an excellent network of providers across Europe from whom we hire a wide range of instruments. Our ability to arrange all forms of quality percussion, large brass and string instruments including harps or string bases is unmatched, and is part of our commitment to a successful tour. We also provide full insurance for instruments we hire, just in case... Finally, we monitor the luggage and instrument loads and, where needed, can provide luggage vans and instrument trucks to assist with transporting any overflow.
